The goal of our firm’s estate planning, administration, and litigation practice is to ensure that our clients’ wealth – whether large, small, or in between – is transferred smoothly and efficiently. We accomplish this goal in three main ways.
First, we have extensive experience in drafting the documents that are needed to transfer and administer wealth, including trusts (living, testamentary, charitable, and insurance trusts), wills, and powers of attorney. We also assist our clients in preparing advance health care directives, which help ensure that our clients receive the type of end-of-life medical care and treatment that they desire.
In addition, the firm has significant experience in assisting clients in addressing tax issues, including gift tax, estate tax, fiduciary income tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax issues.
Second, we have extensive experience in assisting clients with the administration of their wealth-transferring documents. This includes experience in trust, probate, and intestacy proceedings.
Finally, our attorneys have experience in all aspects of estate planning-related litigation, including the following key areas:
- Representing executors and beneficiaries in will disputes
- Representing trustees (both corporate and individual) in trust disputes
- Guardianship proceedings
- Conservatorship proceedings
